Short Session Divisions
Every year, the APA National office determines how many teams we can send to Nationals based on our Spring session team count. We are very close in both 8 and 9 ball to being able to offer another trip to Vegas in each format. With that in mind, we are offering for the first time, short session qualifying divisions. Help us help you by building a few additional teams and in turn increase your chances of getting to City Cup, Regionals, and Vegas in the process!
Teams will play an 8-WEEK SESSION and each division will be limited to only FOUR TEAMS MAX. The high point winner advances directly to City Cup and teams 2-through-4 will compete in playoffs with the playoff winner also advancing to City Cup. EACH TEAM IN A DIVISION IS GUARANTEED A 50 PERCENT CHANCE OF HEADING TO CITY CUP!
Team captains should keep in mind the qualifying match criteria for both established and new players due to the short session length. (all players require 4 session matches, 10 lifetime to compete in higher level tournaments).
The divisions will begin the week of March 9, 2014.
The nights of play and areas will be based on interest. Contact us ASAP for more information at 504-525-1007.

Join the APA!
While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball blindfolded, getting an APA Membership Card is much easier.
Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments.
How does the APA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
Contact us at 504-525-1007 for more information on to find out how to get involved.
